Pres' First Patent

This is the cover of the first patent Pres ever received.  It was for a method of recording sound for motion pictures and involved the "modulation of an electric arc" by a fluid.  Though never used in the film industry this idea influenced Pres' thoughts in the development of the Mercury delay line, an  early form of computer memory.
